  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (divided)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the onion until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add garlic during the last minute.
  3. In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, sautéed onions and garlic, breadcrumbs, eggs, half of the ketchup, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish or on a lined baking sheet.
  5. In a small bowl, combine remaining ketchup with brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce; brush over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for about 60 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Drizzle with any leftover glaze before serving.
