  • 2 lbs butternut squash, peeled and sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh sage leaves, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté garlic and sage until fragrant.
  3. Layer half the squash in a greased baking dish, pour half the cream over it, sprinkle with nutmeg and half of the sautéed mixture. Repeat the layers.
  4. Top with Parmesan cheese and mix breadcrumbs with butter before sprinkling on top.
  5. Bake for about 45 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
