- 9 lasagna pasta sheets
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup whole milk
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Cook elbow macaroni and lasagna sheets in salted boiling water until al dente (about 8 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour until smooth, then gradually add milk, stirring until thickened. Stir in cheddar and ricotta until melted.
- Spread marinara sauce on the bottom of the baking dish. Layer lasagna sheets, half of the cheesy mixture, and more marinara sauce. Repeat layers until ingredients are used up.
- Top with remaining marinara sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Let rest before slicing.
