  • 8 oz thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin beef
  • 2 onsen eggs
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sake
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare the onsen eggs by heating water to 75°C (167°F) and cooking the eggs for 15-20 minutes. Transfer to an ice bath after cooking.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sake, and mirin. Marinate the beef in this mixture for 30 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat and sauté the marinated beef for about 3 minutes until browned.
  4. Serve by placing the cooked beef in bowls, topping with an onsen egg, and garnishing with chopped green onions.
