  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup hot honey (or honey mixed with chili flakes)
  • 2 tbsp Sriracha (optional for added heat)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In one bowl, mix together flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, whisk the eggs until fluffy.
  3. Dip each shrimp into the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly in the flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry shrimp in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Transfer to paper towels to drain excess oil.
  6. Drizzle with hot honey mixed with Sriracha before serving warm.
