- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- For the Frosting: 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Warm the milk until lukewarm, then stir in sugar and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix flour and salt; create a well in the center. Add frothy yeast mixture and melted butter; mix until dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Roll out dough into a rectangle, spread melted butter, sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar evenly, roll tightly, and slice into pieces.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place rolls in a greased dish and let rise for another 30 minutes. Bake for about 20 minutes until golden.
- Mix frosting ingredients until smooth; drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
