  • 12 oz ziti pasta
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef or sausage in a skillet over medium heat; drain excess fat.
  2. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with half of the mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.
  3. In the crock pot, layer marinara sauce, uncooked ziti pasta, meat mixture, and cheese mixture.
  4. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients, finishing with marinara sauce and remaining mozzarella on top.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours until bubbly and golden.
  6. Serve hot with fresh basil and garlic bread.
