Description

  • 6 cups day-old brioche or challah bread, cubed
  • 1 cup fresh or dried cranberries
  • Zest and juice of 2 medium oranges
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cubed bread and cranberries.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, orange juice, and zest.
  4. Pour the custard mixture over the bread cubes, gently folding to combine. Allow to sit for 10 minutes.
  5. Transfer to the greased baking dish and bake for 45–50 minutes until golden brown and set.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving. Optionally drizzle with chocolate sauce or top with whipped cream.
