  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 fresh oranges (sliced)
  • 1 fresh lemon (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an oven-safe skillet or round baking dish.
  2. Slice the oranges and lemons into thin rounds.
  3. In the skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add brown sugar until bubbly to create a caramel base.
  4. Arrange the citrus slices in the skillet on top of the caramel.
  5. In a bowl, mix granulated sugar and melted butter until creamy; add eggs one at a time and vanilla extract. Gradually stir in flour and baking powder until smooth.
  6. Pour the batter over the arranged fruit and bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
