Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 8 oz cremini or button mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup dry Marsala wine
- 12 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Gather and prep all ingredients by chopping the garlic and slicing the mushrooms.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then sauté until golden brown (about 6 minutes per side). Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, add more oil if needed and sauté mushrooms until browned (about 5 minutes). Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Pour in Marsala wine and chicken broth, scraping up browned bits from the skillet. Let simmer for about 10 minutes to reduce.
- Stir in heavy cream and allow to combine over low heat for an additional 5 minutes.
- Slice cooked chicken and return it to the skillet along with cooked pasta. Toss everything together until well-coated in sauce.
