- 8 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
- 1 lb medium-sized fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve 1 cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Add shrimp and Cajun seasoning; cook until shrimp are pink (3-4 minutes). Remove from skillet.
- Pour in heavy cream and simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in Parmesan until melted. If needed, add reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
- Return shrimp to skillet and add drained pasta. Toss until well-coated in the sauce.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
