- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 4 soft sub rolls
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, eggs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
- Form mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- While meatballs bake, heat marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Once baked, add meatballs to the warm sauce to coat.
- Slice sub rolls open lengthwise, fill with meatballs and sauce, then top with mozzarella cheese.
- Serve immediately.
